Johnson Controls (JCI) is a US$38 billion, globally diversified technology and industrial leader serving customers in more than 150 countries.
Their 170,000 plus employees create quality products, services and solutions to optimize energy and operational efficiencies of buildings; lead-acid automotive batteries and advanced batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles; and interior systems for automobiles.
Their commitment to sustainability dates back to their roots in 1885, with the invention of the first electric room thermostat.
WHAT
JCI wanted to profile all the success stories with its target audience.
The energy efficiency and sustainability aspect of the organisation had to be efficiently highlighted and the right communications tools had to be deployed to achieve these objectives.
Johnson Controls has a rich history and that had to be managed with utmost care and the messages needed to be articulated well right through the years.
HOW
White Water PR was instrumental in managing the campaigns for the brand since November 2008.
We also ensured that we don’t make any forward-looking statements as it is an NYSE listed company. We adopted a different approach and incorporated a blend of various PR tools that included case studies that resulted in several cover stories in leading magazines.
During these five years we ensured that the brand is respected and recognized by its target audience. The agency has generated tremendous levels of visibility over the years for several JCI initiatives that include:
Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper in Dubai
Cairo Festival City project in Egypt
‘Security Systems’ at King Abdulaziz International Airport Project Saudi Arabia
Empire State Building that saved millions of dollars in the first year of energy efficiency plan
Expansion of Makkah’s Holy Mosque project by Johnson Controls Saudi Arabia
Advanced security solutions for soccer stadiums in Brazil for FIFA World Cup 2014.
