One of the biggest perks of working in our field is the number of celebrities you get to meet which you wouldn’t in most other professions.
Working with Dilmah tea, we got to interact with award-winning Chef turned TV presenter and author, Peter Kuruvita.
With Dilmah, Chef Kuruvita had developed some amazing dishes that involved the usage of tea leaves as an ingredient. During Valentine’s day of 2018, the t-lounge by Dilmah at Ibn Batuta Mall, served a specially curated ‘tea-inspired’ revolution in the field of innovative cuisine and gastronomy. Chef Kuruvita enthralled us with fresh salmon smoked with Dilmah’s supreme Ceylon tea and mesquite woodchips.
Then we again got to meet him at Dilmah ‘Real High Tea’ challenge last year, he was one of the judges. This was a contemporary approach to redefining the 21st Century High Tea and to enhance the importance of tea as an ingredient and as a pairing within gastronomy.
He is truly an artist in the culinary world, you can take our word for it.
